What's Your Favorite?

We're having some serious dinner crisis' at our house. I'm simply tired of cooking and need some new meal ideas. I thought if we all shared one of our family's favorite meals we could come up with a pretty good list of yummy choices. I'm going to say tacos and spaghetti don't count unless you have a killer recipe. I added a couple things that we like. Also, if you have any resources you go to for recipes please leave a comment or e-mail me and I'll add them to a sidebar. Thanks for your input, I can't wait to try something new!

Rachel- we LOVE Hawaiian haystacks. Here are the ingredients:
*Cooked rice (white or brown)
*Cooked and Cubed chicken with cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
*Celery
*Olives
*Pineapple
*Onions (I usually leave these out)
*Chinese noodles
*Slivered Almonds
....and anything else you think would be good!

so we just had bbq cups at our house. you brown some hamburger then add bbq sauce and a tsp of brown sugar. let that simmer.

break out a can of pillsbury rolls, just plain round ones. And put them in a muffin tin. kindof making a cup out of them.

put the hamburger in the cup, top with cheese, and cook for about 10 min....or however long the rolls say to (watch them so you don't over "brown" them)

put with a baked potato and other veggies....yummy bbq in a cup!

Rachel,
We have a couple of favorites that are easy and I tried a new recipe that was great yesterday too. Chicken Enchiladas combine chicken sour cream, shredded cheese, green onions, and 1 tsp of sage. I used to have a recipe for this, but I just eyeball all the ingredients. Put the filling into soft tortillas top with green sauce bake until warm.
Another favorite is what we call "Rubber Chicken" (because it is leftover chicken we usually use) You can also use hamburger. I use whichever meat, black beans(from the can) we usually use 3-4 cans, salsa, cook until warm serve like tacos, really easy and yummy. The new recipe was for steak (didn't turn out to well) and asparagus and potatoes. I used 4 lbs of small yellow potatoes, 4 tbs of olive oil and salt and pepper bake for 20 mins, I used two bunches of asparagus and 2 tbs olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic baked them for about 10 mins at 400 degrees(use the smallest stalks of asparagus those are the best tasting). The steak I used the same ingredients as the asparagus without the olive oil, I hate cooking steak, but the sides were great! I hope this helps Hugs, j
